Status Report On The Sale of Our Lodge Building
On Thurday, February 19, the Board of Officers met to discuss another counter-offer for the purchase of our Lodge Building tendered by the potential buyers. After a lengthy discussion, a motion was approved to accept the offer as presented. The buyers accepted and signed the agreement on Monday, February 23. Contingent on the building passing the appraisal for financing, the deal is approved.
The Board and Building Committee has been working diligently on the project since early December to sell the present Lodge building and secure a building for our new Lodge location. Settlement is set for April 30 for a new location. They buyers of our current Lodge building have agreed to lease the ballroom for our use through May and June to give us time to get the new Social Quarters ready for member use.
On Wednesday, February 25, we met and secured our new location at 360 West Bainbridge Street from Dave and Marsha West. This is contingent on the approval of our membership.
Post cards will be sent soon to all Lodge members in good standing to present the terms of the pending purchase and seek their approval. The post cards will indicate the time and date of the membership meeting.
